Saguaro Buds Preschool Program

Our preschool program is a hands-on program designed to instill a lifelong connection to the environment for Tucson’s youngest learners.

Program Overview

The Saguaro Buds preschool program engages learners (ages 3-5) in desert sensory exploration, unstructured nature play, and ecosystem interactions in order to develop a sense of joy and belonging in the Sonoran Desert. This outdoor desert experience is approximately two to three hours. The group is welcome to have lunch at the center and meet an animal friend!

The program delivers three rotations that encourage sense of place, self and collective efficacy, and sensory adventures! Camp cooper programs also emphasize social emotional needs such as self-regulation, self confidence, creativity, cooperation, and imagination.
