Camp Cooper Happy Hour - Sept 16th

In celebration of Cooper Center's September crowdfunding campaign, we will host a live stream happy hour event on Thursday, September 16th, starting at 5:00pm. The free event will feature live music, storytelling, educators and special guests!

After a year of strictly online field trips, Camp Cooper is now accepting requests for in-person or online field trips for fall 2021.  We're delighted to report that our current staff has been with us for multiple years, and we are recruiting additional educators to help with planned program expansion and serving larger groups in 2021 and 2022.

Camp Cooper Live 2021: Amazing Aquifers

You are invited to join us for Camp Cooper Live - our second annual interactive event for the general public, happening over Zoom. Camp Cooper Live events are designed to allow parents and students to engage with our instructors in real time, while learning about science, ecology and sustainability.

Mourning The Loss Of Ann-Eve Pedersen

An incredible supporter of Camp Cooper and the Cooper Center, Pedersen attended Camp Cooper as a child, again later with her son, and then supported Camp Cooper financially in her capacity as  Executive Director of the Southwestern Foundation for Education and Historical Preservation. Ann-Eve Pedersen passed away unexpectedly at the age of 55.

May 2021 Newsletter

This month's newsletter is an update on construction of Phase I of our Master Plan - our new bathroom and shower facility - which is currently on hold pending additional funding. To best explain why our progress is on hold, let me quickly walk through how we arrived here.

Cooper Team Visits Flowers & Bullets Farm

Today our team visited Flowers & Bullets at their Midtown Farm to learn more about their incredible work in Barrio Centro. They use sustainability and art to heal and empower the neighborhood they call home, and we're excited to work with them. We helped out with getting summer squash, tomato and pepper seeds ready for planting!
