At Camp Cooper, a mentor and Executive Director at Boys to Men Tucson fondly recalls bringing hundreds of teen boys and adult male mentors for transformative adventure weekends. One vivid memory is guiding boys who doubted their ability to complete a challenging hike to a nearby peak, resulting in an exhilarating experience. Around the campfire at night, the boys, supported by the safe environment, shared their hearts and found healing. The experience at Camp Cooper imparted a deep understanding of the therapeutic power of being in nature with loved ones.
