Day and Overnight Experiences are student-centered one day experiences for learning about and enjoying the wonders of the Sonoran Desert!

Choosing your Experience

There are a few decisions you need to make to choose which Day or Overnight Experience you want. You can choose different trip lengths and each grade level has differentiated curriculum so students can come to Cooper at multiple grade levels and be assured of new and exciting experiences.

Length of Experience:  

There are three potential options for the length of your visit.

• Half Day (10:00am – 1:00pm) – This experience is only available for K-2 Grades. This allows for a morning discovery walk, lunch, and an animal presentation.
• Full Day (10:00am – 4:00pm) – This experience is available to all grades. This allows for activities with Cooper Center Staff (timing dependent on the grade), lunch, and afternoon Activity Centers.
• Overnight (10:00am – 9:30am next day) – This experience is available to all grades. This allows for activities with Cooper Center Staff (timing dependent on grade level), lunch, afternoon Activity Centers, dinner, evening programs, and campfires.

Multi-grade classes

If you have multi-grade classes please Contact Us to know which experience you will have. Most of the time we do the curriculum for the lower grade level of the field trip; especially for classes 3^rd and up.
